By mentoring, you would make a significant impact in the life of the mentee simply by taking an interest in their life. The long term benefit of such an intervention in your part is indeterminable. Mentored children are more likely to mentor other unguided youngsters around them and therefore multiplying the outcome of your intervention. In the long run, they make more out of their life.
