Rahul needs your help to recover from Blood cancer

16-year-old Rahul is suffering from Plasmacytoma that is a rare form of blood cancer. He is currently getting treated from AIIMS hospital, Delhi.

His father, Mohan Singh was devastated to find out that his son has cancer at such young age. He works as a daily wage laborer and was shocked to know the cost of the treatment for his surgery.

They were lucky enough to receive the help of Bihar government and an NGO that somehow managed to cover for his surgery, chemotherapy and Bone Marrow Transplant.
Currently, the doctors are continuing with the chemotherapy which will go on for about 2 years from now.

Rahul’s father and his uncle are the sole caretakers with one running around for food and medicines while the other stays with Rahul at their rented room in Noida or at the hospital, depending upon the circumstances. Lack of money and resources has made it extremely difficult for them to continue with the treatment.

Rahul’s mother lives in their hometown and takes care of his younger brother. Rahul’s father told us that he does not like to inform his wife about Rahul’s condition as she falls sick and worries a lot about her son.

The family is struggling hard to get through this tough time.
