International Literacy Day

The epidemic of Coronavirus was incredibly dangerous for people around the world. The effect of the pandemic is also difficult for India to contend with. The effect on India’s underprivileged children, particularly in the sense of their schooling, is marked by devastation by COVID-19. According to UNICEF, the shut-down on schools has affected more than 247 million children who attend primary schools and secondary schools and 28 million pre-school children in Anganwadi centers.
Not only do underprivileged children suffer an unexplained disparity in education, they still face a massive literacy deficiency. In 2016 there had already been a record 46.24 million children aged 6-18 (DISE 2016-17 and RGI Census Population Forecast 2016) out of kindergarten. This figure would quickly rise as a result of the loss of livelihoods after a lock-up, school closing, and extreme lack of access to technical assistance. Children in urban slums and villages will also experience a lack of schooling without secure internet connectivity and a shortage of wireless learning technologies.
Various families are facing severe poorness which, following the current crisis, is placing more underprivileged children in danger of pursuing education.

The International Literacy Day is commemorated on 8 September to encourage education between the cultures. The cause of education in India must be strongly championed this year to ensure that children of poor families are shielded from the long-lasting effects of the vicious circle of analphabetism.
In the development of digital training centers and critical technical assistance for supporting both Indian teachers and underprivileged students, we are working relentlessly for encouraging children to continue their learning.
It is the tangible costs of this pandemic why we want more children as they are the silent casualties of this epidemic and the war. Your contribution will have a significant effect on the survival and wellbeing of India’s underprivileged children in a COVID environment. On this Literacy Day, take the opportunity to generously contribute and inspire children to have an opportunity to have a happier future. Donate now! Donate now!
