Although winter is cherished and invited by affluent individuals with a joyful state of mind, it brings tremendous suffering to the needy people and the economically marginal section of our society. Sadly, children of urban slums and street- connected children doing beggar are most affected with little to no means to keep themselves warm and protected. Where one meal of a day is in jeopardy, proper woolen clothing and winter wear is a distant dream.

Taking cognizance of the matter of approx 60 children begging and loitering around Munirka, Delhi, Aastha Nishtha Foundation initiated a drive to bind together volunteers and distributed sweaters, refreshments, and other winter wears to these special kids. SPYM -Rain basera Munirka center assisted in mobilizing the kids at one place so as to understand the specific requirement of each kid.

We were able to assist a few children with meager resources at our disposal, this is far from enough. We encourage you to contribute to the cause because if we won’t then who will?
